Mary Mitzner

Mary Mitzner is a Senior Consultant in the Finance Practice of Astute Diligence.

Mary is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with over eighteen years of experience in financial and accounting management, strategic planning, business development, process improvement initiatives, operations, corporate administration, and decision support analysis.

Prior to joining Astute Diligence as an affiliated consultant, Mary served as Director of Finance and Administration for Packtion, a provider of software solutions to the packaging industry. At Packtion, Mary had overall responsibility for all finance, accounting, treasury, tax and other administration functions. In addition, Mary served as the company's Corporate Secretary and Treasurer and led all financial and legal due diligence efforts during two investment rounds. Investors in Packtion included Procter and Gamble, DuPont, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Siligan Holdings, and DiamondCluster, Inc.

Previously, Mary worked for R.R. Donnelley and Sons where she held a number of increasingly responsible financial positions, culminating in her directing the financial activities of a $1.2B business unit comprising twelve manufacturing locations. In this role, Mary was responsible for corporate budgeting, forecasting, decision support analysis, strategy development, long-range financial projections, valuation models, and providing strategic counsel on investment and operating decisions.

Prior to R.R. Donnelley, Mary worked for Kemper Financial Services and as a public accountant for Arthur Andersen and Company.

Mary is a Certified Public Accountant. She holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (Cum Laude) from Louisiana Tech University.
